Not new player friendly.
First few levels are butter. The server rewards are great and the quest system is fantastic. After about level 12 you won't be able to go more than 2-5 minutes in your own space without getting popped by a player with a fully kitted ship. Once in your upper maps players will literally Comp kill you unless you join their groups.

Corruption from dev team
My experience with Space Aces has been extremely frustrating, mainly due to the poor management and clear corruption from the server's administrators. Rather than running a fair and balanced game, the developers seem more interested in favoring a small group of players — often friends or high donors — by giving them exclusive items, overpowered ships, or hidden bonuses that are completely unavailable to the rest of the community.

Community management issues
I’ve rarely seen such a toxic community. Constant arguing in chat, insults flying around, and new players get trashed the moment they show up. The admins? Either clueless or just don’t care. It really kills the fun.

Good server
*I have played this server for 268 hours now so I think I have a pretty good and honest opinion about the server. I am biased towards it being a good server though* - Grind is good and fun. (and very long to get everything) - Being in parties is easy to do and rewarding, group play is incentivised. - Gates are pretty easy to do, and there's a daily you can do that gives great rewards ,1500 free energy you can get easily from dailies accumulated. - Great quests tbh. (late levels very very long and tedious quests though) - Ship designs, pet designs are good. - Pvp is active as you'd assume. A lot of people doing gates and stuff so maps aren't exactly all full off people. - Chat has filters, isn't that bad tbh. - No lag whatsoever for me. - No 3D here. - Bunch of variety for pvp, drone formations, mines, etc. - It is easy to connect with others, if not, that's a you problem. Players want to help you, and they want you in their clan. (be aware early on joining a clan means they have wars with other clans in the same faction, so just don't join a clan early in my experience). - Truly no p2w aside of 2 packs u can buy. Aren't really worth your money but if you can spend it, spend it. - Admins are alright. - Well balanced, I'm pretty sure everything can be countered by formations and good gameplay. - Being cloaked (invisible) means you will have to find other players in the 2D flat plain of existence by looking on the mini-map and trying to click on the right spot to attack the player. This isn't really fun and annoying to me but it can lead to interesting gameplay. - You can upgrade drones, laser, etc. - Lastly, if you grind for 500 -1000 + hours, you will probably have full prometheus laser, and yeah you will be very very powerfull then. AND THAT IS GREAT FUN. *All and all aside, this is a good server, one I enjoy most by a mile hence the review* (I played on like 6)

DON'T PLAY IT
I had a problem with my account. My email was deleted, and I changed my password without saving it, so I couldn't access the game anymore. These "DEV" people didn't fix the problem and were even making fun of me. If you have a problem with your account, these people won't help you and don't care about anyone. My account is still frozen.

A disaster in every way. They don't help players with account issues and they even ban you from DC if you talk about things that actually happened. Disgusting.

Disappointment - just like one top player had his nickname: "Gate-aces"
2014-2020 era server, the rates of uridium xp and honor are 3-4 times as big as normally, prometheus serves as best laser - obtainable from delta gate and on 25th day of login bonus, besides the event gates there are 7 types of gates available: abgd zeta&kappa and firefight (as a replacement of group gates), deserted maps in the mornings, and in later hours there are only top hienas griefing "flaxes" on 4-5 (there aren't actually flax drones on this server though), for lower equipment players - you're gonna be bored to tears grinding uri both on gate firefight and normal maps and if trying to kill some ships on lower maps to alleviate the boredom you're gonna be disappointed because most of the players there are protected and to top it all there arent that many of them, so no ships to kill for you, on the other hand if you venture on the higher maps to be better equipped you're gonna have to grind on 4-5 or x-6/x-7 where top players kill you in 2 miliseconds with vengs, on the plus side there are lots of missions to complete and there are daily ones too. Overall boring server, there aren't many people to play with in early hours and later there are only top players in clans that if you're not a part of guess what happens to you.
